Welcome to the Tour of Sufferlandria 2019
Hello and welcome to Sufferlandria!
The 2019 Tour is quickly approaching, February 2-10. I was unable to complete last years course so I am extra motivated to take on this edition. Thank you to all those that supported me in 2017!
The route has not yet been announced, but it is all but guaranteed to be 9 days of pushing the peloton to their limits. Each day a series of entries in The Sufferfest series of bicycle training will be performed. On a heavy training week you might do 4-5 of these videos. The Tour of Sufferlandria will have stages with back to back (to back?) sessions and devious combinations over 9 successive days. It is a massive physical undertaking.
But it's also a fundraiser for the Davis Phinney Foundation. I hope you'll join me in support for the ride itself, but also as a way to put some positivity back in the world. The DPF is a great organization helping those affected by Parkinson's Disease. Or, if there is another charity close to heart, I encourage you to do what you can to contribute. In the spirit of the international event that is the Tour of Sufferlandria, maybe steer clear from any pro-wall related gofundme sites.
I'll be posting updates along the way, please bear with me. Of course registration is open to all if you have bike trainer or spin bike and would care to join me! The Sufferfest is what it sounds like. True, you suffer pushing yourself through some pretty intense workouts, but it is also festive and makes that enjoyable for a certain breed.
If Couchlandria sounds more like your kind of place, thanks for visiting, I'm happy to ride for you.
